Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes or fresh chili adjust to taste
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter smooth or crunchy
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp fresh herbs such as cilantro or basil, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Finely mince the garlic for even distribution of flavor.
  • Squeeze fresh lime juice into a small mixing bowl.
  • In a medium-sized bowl, combine the soy sauce, lime juice, minced garlic, and chili.
  • Gradually add the peanut butter and hoisin sauce, whisking continuously to blend.
  • Continue whisking until the mixture becomes smooth and well incorporated.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning as needed—add more lime juice for acidity or more hoisin for sweetness.
  • Garnish with chopped fresh herbs for color and additional flavor.
  • Serve in a small dipping bowl alongside your spring rolls.

Notes

This sauce is great for fresh and fried spring rolls, but it can also complement other appetizers and Asian dishes.
