Instructions
Measure out all ingredients.
In a medium bowl, mix soy sauce, gochujang, and sugar or honey.
Add minced garlic and grated ginger, stirring well.
Slowly whisk in sesame oil and rice wine or mirin until smooth.
Taste and adjust seasonings if needed.
Let the sauce rest for at least 30 minutes before use.
Notes
For a spicier sauce, add more gochujang or red pepper flakes. Substitute tamari for a gluten-free version.
