Equipment

  • Skillet
  • Egg Mold or Mason Jar Lid

Ingredients

  • 1 English muffin toasted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 slice cheddar cheese
  • 1 slice turkey bacon
  • 1 teaspoon butter optional
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • cooking spray or oil for greasing the skillet

Instructions

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and lightly grease with cooking spray or oil.
  • Crack the egg into a round egg mold (or use a mason jar lid as a mold) to achieve the classic shape. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Cook the egg for 3–4 minutes until set, then carefully flip and cook for another minute.
  • While the egg is cooking, toast the English muffin until golden brown and spread with butter if desired.
  • In the same skillet, heat the turkey bacon slice for about 30 seconds on each side until warm and slightly crispy.
  • Assemble the sandwich by placing the cheddar cheese on the bottom half of the English muffin, followed by the turkey bacon, the cooked egg, and then the top half of the muffin.
  • Let the sandwich sit for a minute to allow the cheese to melt slightly, then enjoy!

Notes

For an extra twist, try adding avocado slices, a dash of hot sauce, or swapping the turkey bacon for crispy turkey bacon!
