Ingredients
Apple Donuts

peeled and finely chopped

all-purpose flour

granulated sugar

baking powder

cinnamon

nutmeg

beaten

milk

vanilla extract
vegetable oil
for frying
powdered sugar
optional, for dusting
Instructions
Peel and finely chop the apples. Optionally, toss them with a sprinkle of cinnamon and sugar.
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add milk and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.
Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture, stirring gently. Fold in the chopped apples.
Let the dough rest for a few minutes while preheating the oil in a deep frying pan to 350°F (175°C).
Shape the donuts by either hand-forming rings or rolling and cutting the dough with a donut cutter.
Carefully fry the donuts in batches, cooking for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Remove from the oil and place on a cooling rack or paper towels to drain excess oil.
Dust with powdered sugar if desired, and enjoy warm!
Notes
These apple donuts taste amazing fresh, but you can store them in an airtight container for up to two days. Reheat in an oven for the best texture.
