frozen spinach
approx. 10 oz

heavy cream
or substitute half-and-half for a lighter version
nutmeg
a pinch
salt and pepper
to taste
Instructions
Thaw the spinach in a colander, then squeeze out as much water as possible.
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
Stir in the spinach and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Pour in the heavy cream and add a pinch of nutmeg. Stir to combine.
Simmer on low heat for an additional 5 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Notes
Serve warm as a side dish with grilled steak, chicken, or fish.
