Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 5-6 apples Granny Smith, Braeburn, or Honeycrisp, peeled, cored, and sliced into wedges
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter cut into small pieces
  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed if frozen
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice a squeeze

  • Remove from heat and drape puff pastry over the apples, tucking the edges around the inside of the skillet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes until the puff pastry is golden brown.
  • Remove from oven and rest for 5 minutes. Invert the tart onto a serving plate.
  • Slice and serve warm, optionally with ice cream or cream.

Notes

Try adding a pinch of salt or cinnamon for extra depth. Best served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
