Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease your donut pan.
Sift together flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
In another bowl, whisk eggs, warmed milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. If using espresso powder, dissolve it in the milk.
Gradually fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix.
Spoon or pipe the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Let donuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely.
Prepare the glaze by whisking powdered sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Dip or drizzle donuts with glaze. Garnish with sprinkles or nuts if desired.
Allow glaze to set before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Best enjoyed fresh!
