Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a springform pan with parchment paper.
For the brownie layer, mix cocoa powder, flour, and salt in a bowl.
In another bowl, mix melted butter, sugar, and eggs.
Combine the wet and dry ingredients, then fold in melted chocolate.
Pour brownie batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes.
Let the brownie layer cool completely.
For the cheesecake layer, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Mix in vanilla extract and sour cream.
Pour cheesecake batter over the cooled brownie layer.
Bake at 325°F (165°C) for 30-35 minutes, until edges are set but the center is slightly jiggly.
Cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Notes
For best results, use high-quality chocolate and avoid overbaking the brownie layer.
